Being featured in Business Insider was a great moment that has made me reflect on the journey that brought me here. Moving to Japan, purchasing a home, and renovating it might sound daunting to some, but it felt like a natural progression for me, thanks to the experiences and skills I’ve gained along the way.

My background in construction and project management, combined with a deep love for adventure and understanding of Japanese culture and language, made the process surprisingly smooth. Every step—from navigating the property market to tackling the renovation—was a challenge I felt ready to take on, and I’m grateful for how my journey, lifestyle, and personality has prepared me for this.
